Reine Hewitt

Hi, I am Reine Hewitt, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in lower Manhattan, New York.

I work with individuals and couples wanting greater self-knowledge and skills to build meaningful connections. Many of my clients are neurodiverse, parents, queer, and are navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, or recurring relational patterns.

Therapy with me is a space to slow down, think critically, and shift how you relate to yourself and others. Grounded in the tenet of “no mud, no lotus,” this work honors growth, intimacy, and clarity that emerge through meeting what is difficult with curiosity, care, and humor. Therapy is a serious undertaking, but we don't have to be serious all the time. Let's slow down and work towards relational joy.

I provide couples, relationship, and individual therapy drawing from compassion-focused therapy, mindful nonviolent communication, relational life therapy, Buddhist psychology, psychodynamic work, and evidence-based modalities tailored to your needs. Therapy with me is active and relational. It is for making sense of your inner world and shifting how you show up. We identify patterns, improve communication, and work through conflict to build more secure, responsive, and honest relationships.
