About Dr.

I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in couples and individual psychotherapy. I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, identity formation, life transitions, and difficulties forming or maintaining meaningful relationships. Additionally, I have over 12 years of specialized experience helping clients navigate trauma, including post-traumatic stress, sexual abuse, and chronic medical illnesses.

My therapeutic philosophy is centered on the belief that unresolved feelings shape how we see and interact with the world, and that addressing these old feelings is essential to creating lasting change. By helping you build a stronger sense of self and develop effective coping skills, I strive to support you in navigating life's uncertainties with greater confidence and resilience.

In addition to my private practice, I am actively involved in the professional training community. I serve as the Director of the Couple Therapy Program at the Training Institute for Mental Health and as an adjunct professor at New York University. I take an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to your unique goals while providing a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment.

Questions Dr. is often asked

Do you accept Insurance?

I currently do not accept insurance. I will fill out forms and provide you with whatever assistance I can in helping you receive the benefits to which you are entitled; however you (not your insurance company) are responsible for full payment of my fees.  It is very important that you find out exactly what mental health services your insurance policy covers.

How long are sessions?

The initial session is an opportunity for me to learn about what has brought you to therapy.  If we agree to begin psychotherapy, I will usually schedule one [45-minute] session per week, at a time we agree on.

What happens if I cancel our session?

Once an appointment is scheduled, I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy. You are responsible to pay the session fee if you don’t give me at least 24 hours notice.

Process for Payment

You are expected to pay for each session at the time it is held, unless we agree otherwise or unless you have out-of-network benefits that requires another arrangement.
