About Dana
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I focus my practice on the treatment of adolescents and adults. I view therapy as a collaborative journey where I aid my clients in achieving meaningful and lasting change by helping them better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
While I will guide you with careful listening, appropriate questioning, and active conversation, it is through your dedication and hard work that you will find the answers to a more fulfilling and happy life.
My therapeutic approach integrates both psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles, combining these techniques to help us understand what is working for you and what might be getting in the way.
Depending on your needs, my treatment methods also span Emotionally Focused, Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), and Relational therapies. When you work with me, you can expect a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment tailored to addressing anxiety, relationship instability, and navigating major life changes.
In terms of my background, I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work in 2016, following my undergraduate degree in psychology from Hofstra University. To further refine my skills, I have also completed advanced psychodynamic therapy training at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, alongside the child and adolescent training program at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center (PPSC).
