About Allison

My orientation as a therapist is grounded in the belief that trust and connection are paramount in enabling exploration. Through exploration, we can uncover the depths of our inner most selves to heal, realize change, and find peace. My approach as a therapist is framed by my background as a music therapist combined with elements of depth-oriented psychotherapy and traditional talk therapy. I work with individuals facing a range of issues including depression, anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, relationship issues, loss and grief, substance abuse and history of trauma.

As a therapist, I have worked with individuals of all ages and backgrounds in New York City. My approach as a therapist is framed by my background as a music therapist combined with elements of depth-oriented psychotherapy and traditional talk therapy. In my work I utilize elements such as dream analysis, free association, and cognitive restructuring.
It is my understanding that fostering strong therapeutic relationships is at the forefront of successful psychotherapy work. Within my work as a psychotherapist, I apply a flexible approach to help my clients in whatever ways work for them. Feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we'd be a good fit.
